PC COLA

An homage to the Charles Wilp campaigns for AFRI-COLA in late 60s/early 70s, PC COLA evokes the decadent filmed parties of Andy Warhol, Jack Smith and Shuji Terayama. Shot through a melting sheet of icy glass, PC COLA alternates between Factory-like superstars, lascivious nuns, and high society as they drink PC COLA.

The first in a series of promotional films for partycrasher.us also simply known as ‘PC’.

A video mash-up of the famous Hitchcock shower scene with the Gus Van Sant re-make.

psycho(s) was featured in the 2005 Milan Broad Band Week sponsored by PIGMAG.

‘Le stade ultime de la schizophrenie est atteint dans le travail de realisateur new-yorkais Frank Hudec qui a superpose, par le biais de superimpressions, les deux sequences de la douche, celle de Van Sant et celle de Hitchcock, de maniere a ce qu’elles se deroulent non plus de facon sucessive, mais en simultanee. Le resultat, c’est a une veritable materialization de la schizophrenie qu’on a l’impression d’assister ; ce qui releve d’ordinaire d’un processus mental se deploie sous nos yeux sous une forme ectoplasmique et cauchemardesque.’
